Climate Change

CFR agencies coordinate and cooperate on actions to address the implications of climate-related risks for the Australian financial system via the Climate Forum. The Forum evolved from the Climate Working Group, which was established by the CFR in 2017 and reconstituted as the Forum in 2025. Membership includes all CFR agencies and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). See the Organisation page for the CFR structure and working groups.

Between 2021 and 2024, the CFR published an annual stocktake of climate-related activities and planned work across CFR agencies. From 2025, this has been incorporated into the CFR Initiatives on Systemic Risks and Vulnerabilities.
