Climate Change

The Council of Financial Regulators Working Group on Financial Implications of Climate Change was established in 2017. The Working Group brings APRA, ASIC, RBA and Treasury together to consider and coordinate actions in relation to understanding and managing financial climate-related risks. The Working Group reports to the CFR as needed on international developments, emerging regulatory gaps, and risks to the financial system in relation to climate change.

At the September 2021 meeting, the Working Group provided an update to the Council of Financial Regulators on its recent activities and planned further work: see Council of Financial Regulators Climate Change Activity Stocktake 2021 for further details.
